ABOUT US
Love Alaska is a nonprofit organization that exists to see people mobilized for the good of our communities, and the good of our state. We believe that when everyday Alaskans get involved, we can make a BIG difference in the most painful, dark, and hurting areas of society.
We train and engage mentors and volunteers through our Priceless and Chosen initiatives. Priceless mentors and volunteers walk alongside survivors of human trafficking and sex slavery right here in Alaska. Priceless has held training for law enforcement, social workers, local shelters, and regular Alaskans to help identify trafficking, and know how to offer help and hope.
Chosen provides mentors to support at-risk youth and young adults, a population vulnerable to predators and exploitation. Consider areas like foster care, substance abuse and addiction, homelessness, depression, and suicide. What would happen if Alaskans, equipped and willing to help, stepped in to these areas and gave their time and their talents to support young people as they walk into healthy adulthood. We would begin to see a difference in the troubling statistics that haunt our state.
Ready to join the movement as we serve marginalized people, bring hope into hopeless situations, and love Alaska?
