OUr story
Our story begins with two organizations, both mobilizing people, serving those in need, and making a real impact in our communities, with a desire to see their movements grow.
grace alaskaGrace Alaska was an organization created by ChangePoint church in Anchorage to help demonstrate the heart of Jesus to the community in BIG ways. Over the years, Grace Alaska was the parent organization over the Downtown Soup Kitchen (demonstrating God's heart to the hungry and homeless in Anchorage, serving 300+ meals a day) and Rightway Automotive (Free and low-cost auto repairs for single mothers, widows, and others in a place of need,). Those initiatives, along with the Fore The City Golf Tournament and others, have impacted thousands of lives, here in Anchorage and around our state. Through Grace Alaska hundreds of people got involved in giving their lives away in service to others.

love alaskaLove Alaska began as a statewide collaboration among churches and the Luis Palau Association. In early 2014, thousands of volunteers served and cared for hundreds of people in need. In response, the Governor of Alaska posted: “Over the last six months these Alaskans fed, cared for, and visited others in need, made repairs for those who couldn't, and became mentors for children, among other acts of service…Great job all!” In June of 2014, the Love Alaska festival was held. Over 20,000 people gathered in Anchorage and Fairbanks during these events. The goal of Love Alaska was the hope that after the festival was over, this unified movement would continue to love our communities through ongoing acts of service.

better together
Both of these organizations had a similar vision and mission, to see people mobilized for the good of our communities and our state. So, why not try and achieve that together? What was Grace Alaska and Love Alaska, is now just Love Alaska.
Together we are going to serve our communities, care for the hurting, run to people in the margins, and bring hope to the hopeless, as we Love Alaska!
